The Department of Psychology is a friendly, stimulating and supportive environment for students where science flourishes. We’re one of the world’s top psychology departments, excelling in both teaching and research.

You can choose from first year modules only. Examinations are held in the Summer Term.

Choosing your modules

Please see the list of modules below. This list is indicative of the type of module which may be available during your study period. Please note that not all modules are available to exchange and visiting students.

Module choice and registration will take place during the first supervisory meeting. Learning agreements (if applicable) cannot be signed until this meeting.

English language requirements

IELTS: 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component. For more information see our undergraduate English language requirements.

Teaching schedule

You can study in our department for the following periods only:

  • Full academic year
  • Autumn Term only
  • Spring/Summer(combined)

Examination and assessment

Assessment is by mainly by examination during the Common Examination Periods in January (alternate assessments may be available please discuss these with the department), and the Summer Term.
