Choosing your modules
The Department of Physics does not limit choice, however you must have the necessary requirements to study all modules. Final module registration will take place at the start of term.
Undergraduate English language requirements
IELTS: 6.0 with 6.0 in writing and no less than 5.5 in all other components. For more information see our undergraduate English language requirements.
You should hold an undergraduate degree in Physics or related subject.

Postgraduate English language requirements
IELTS: 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. For more information see our postgraduate English language requirements.
You can study in our department for the following periods only:-
- Full academic year
- Autumn Term only
- Autumn/Spring (combined)
- Spring Term only
Examination and assessment
Assessment is mainly by examination during the Common Examination Periods in January (alternate assessments may be available please discuss these with the department), and the Summer Term.
