Halifax College accommodation
York’s largest college, Halifax sits on the edge of Heslington village, with a variety of self-catered houses, flats and family accommodation set around leafy courtyards, surrounded by green space.
Halifax has two large common rooms, an on-site shop, cash point and a free shuttle bus running regularly to the centre of Campus West if you don’t fancy the 10-minute walk. It also has a small amount of resident parking.

Band 1 shared bathroom, self-catered
Band 1 accommodation at Halifax College is in St Lawrence Court, laid out in courtyards of flats around grassy squares near the St Lawrence common room.
Each room has its own private washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared between the house. Each house has one main kitchen and one smaller kitchen with some extra seating, counter space and amenities.

Band 3 shared bathroom, self-catered
Band 3 shared bathroom accommodation is spread throughout Halifax College at Ingram, Wood, Irwin, Lindley and Younger Courts.
Arranged in communal houses and courtyards, bathroom facilities and kitchens are shared between residents of each house. Each room has a private washbasin for personal use.
