Module aims
The module introduces the epistemological and ontological underpinnings of management research. It also aims to improve accessibility of research material such as journal articles, etc and to provide basic skills in support of other modules taught on the MA/MSc programme.
Module learning outcomes
Successful completion of the module will demonstrate that students are able to:-
- Appreciate the epistemological and ontological underpinnings of management research
- Develop an appreciation of the norms and expectations associated with research
- Critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches to research
- Develop understanding and judgement regarding the ethical issues of management research
- Develop an understanding of the cultural norms and values associated with research and writing
