The Department of Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media has a diverse range of courses delivered by award-winning staff.

Our modules are intellectually stimulating, academically rigorous and equip you with the skills needed to work in the creative industries.

Choosing your modules

Please see the list of modules below. This list is indicative of the type of module which may be available during your study period. Please note that not all modules are available to exchange and visiting students.

We will contact you during early August or early December (depending on your start date) to discuss your module choices.

English language requirements

IELTS: 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component. For more information see our undergraduate English language requirements.

Teaching schedule

You can study in our department for the following periods only:

  • Full academic year 
  • Autumn Term only
  • Autumn/Spring (combined)
  • Spring Term only
  • Spring/Summer (combined)

Examination and Assessment

Assessment is mainly by assignment submitted via the VLE. Some assessments take place during the Common Examination Periods in January (alternate assessments may be available, please discuss this with the Department), and the Summer Term.
