You should have achieved, or be on track to achieve, the equivalent of a UK lower second-class honours degree (2:2).

Your application should include an academic reference and a personal statement, outlining why you want to study at the University of York, particularly within the Social and Political Sciences.

We accept a range of global English tests such as IELTS and TOEFL iB. Please note English language requirements vary by academic department and level of study.

IELTS requirements for Social and Political Sciences: 6.5 with 6.0 in each component.

We will contact you during early August or early December (depending on your start date) to discuss your module choices. 

Assessment is a mix of coursework assignments due in the Common Assessment Periods at the end of each semester.
