Module summary

This module allows students to undertake a substantial piece of self-directed scholarly work as an individual initiative. Students can choose to work on a project producing an interactive media prototype reflecting scientific, design, engineering or humanities enquiries with an accompanying report, or write a 12,000 word dissertation. The module will enable students to develop their skills in planning and writing scholarly reports, including reflective analysis on the achievements of the project. It will draw together the knowledge and skills developed in the preceding years of the programme by allowing students to focus on a topic (whether technical, theoretical or thematic) of their own choice. Students are supported in this module through individual supervision through regular meeting with an allocated member of academic staff.
