Module aims

Working alongside their research mentor within an established research group, students will undertake a scoping review relating to a topic of choice. The research mentor will guide the review and choice of topic.

Subject content

  • to gain practical experience of undertaking a scoping review
  • to gain detailed knowledge of research evidence relating to a specific policy topic
  • to gain understanding of how scoping reviews of evidence might best feed into policy debates and deliberations

  • able to undertake a scoping review of policy related evidence
  • able to use scoping review techniques to inform policy debates in an evidence based manner
