Module aims

  • To demonstrate how different methodologies have contributed to our understanding of different areas of cognitive neuroscience
  • To show how neuroimaging techniques complement other methods in cognitive neuroscience

Module learning outcomes

On completing the module a student will be able to:

  • identify which procedure is appropriate for studying structure and function within the brain
  • debate the use of non-invasive imaging techniques and be able to critically evaluate the outcome of a neuroimaging study

understand and review some of the contributions that neuroimaging has made in experimental psychology
