Module aims
The aim of this module is for you to demonstrate your personal and professional development by drawing on your experiences in your workplace which may include activities such as study days, self-directed study, and short courses. Working with an academic coach you will build a critically reflective portfolio that will evidence your achievement.
Module learning outcomes
1. Critically reflect on your work-based activities, identifying how
they have contributed to your personal and professional
development
2. Demonstrate the application of an extensive
knowledge of the current health and social care evidence relevant to
your selected topic or field of practice
3. Critically analyse
influences on professional practice or ideology which may include
research, legislation and governance.
Module content
ou will work with a coach to support you in developing an action plan
that you will use to achieve the activities that will form the basis
of your portfolio. Your portfolio should include a critically
reflective essay which draws on the evidence that you have included in
your portfolio to evidence your learning and how the activities you
have undertaken have supported your personal and professional
development.
Your initial meeting with your coach will be to
identify the evidence that you may already have and look at what you
aim to achieve during the module. You will then create a formative
action plan which will form the basis of your portfolio and critical essay.
