In 2020 changes were made by Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) to the End Point Assessment process to change it from a non-integrated assessment to an integrated end-point assessment.
The aim of this module is to enable the external examiner to review and confirm evidence that the student has met the required End Point assessment criteria to allow progression to the nursing associate register.
By the end of the module, students will be able to demonstrate:
The student has met all the required Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours and the employer and the University of York are satisfied that the student has consistently demonstrated that they have met the knowledge, skills and behaviours outlined within the occupational standard.
Achievement of English and Maths at level 2.
Completion of all required modules, taking into account any Recognition of prior learning (RPL), of the foundation degree approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council in line with the requirements specified in the Nursing Associates Programme Standards (NMC 2018) which includes the mandatory protected learning time (720) and a minimum 480 hours of external practice placements but before the AEI’s examination board.
All Practice Assessment Documentation (PAD) to be completed and signed off bt the practice and academic assessor.
