Visiting students - Eighteenth Century Studies

At the Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies, we have the historic city of York on our doorstep.

In the almost 30 years since its foundation, the Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies has come to be recognised as a leading centre in the English-speaking world for interdisciplinary research in the eighteenth century.

The Centre has over 20 permanent members of staff across humanities disciplines and some 30 to 40 affiliated PhD students and runs a flourishing interdisciplinary MA programme.

It is located in the historic Heslington Hall, York's hub for Arts and Humanities. The Centre is an inclusive and welcoming community for eighteenth century studies and is home to a vibrant programme of seminars and activities.
