Module aims

Students will experience the teaching of Philosophy in another linguistic context and philosophical tradition, and they will benefit from immersing themselves in an unfamiliar culture. All students on this pathway will develop new transferable skills, including communication skills, which are essential components of CV in a highly competitive and increasingly international work landscape.

Module learning outcomes

Through the year abroad, students will be able to engage confidently with different philosophical traditions, and be able to participate in multilingual and transcultural encounters while demonstrating an awareness of, and sensitivity to, the relativity of social, cultural and linguistic norms.
