Module summary

This module is the culmination of the MBA journey. It encapsulates all the knowledge and experience that a student has learned throughout their course and presents it in the framework of a portfolio exploring a management problem or issue.

Module aims

This module allows the student to apply their knowledge and skills learned throughout the course to a specific issue(s) identified within an organisation, to establish a method of researching it and to be able to present a rigorous and sound solution.

Module learning outcomes

By the end of this module, students should be able to:

  • Work independently managing a large research based consultancy project

  • Confidently manage a systematic literature search, identifying and critiquing sources relevant to the field of investigation

  • Design and implement a suitable methodology by adapting and applying methods and instruments appropriate to a business context with due concern for matters of reliability and validity.

  • Independently present results suitable for a wide range of audiences and critically evaluate appropriate methods and tools for data collection, analysis and distribution
