Students will understand how types of evidence underpin nursing care and practice.
Module learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students will be able to:
1. Examine how uncertainty in healthcare can be resolved through understanding how different types
of information inform evidence based nursing practice.
2. Demonstrate the ability to assess methodological limitations of a range of research
approaches.
3. Demonstrate the ability to use research to help inform decision making.
4. Understand a range of factors which can influence decision making in nursing practice.
