Module summary

This module is a synoptic assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours learnt throughout the programme. Students will demonstrate that they have achieved all of the capabilities associated with an advanced clinical practitioner. It is the End Point Assessment for learners on the apprenticeship version of the programme.

Professional requirements

Students on the apprenticeship must have passed through the gateway to EPA before commencing the module.

Module aims

This module is a synoptic assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours learnt throughout the programme. You will demonstrate that you have achieved all of the capabilities associated with an advanced clinical practitioner.

Module learning outcomes

By the end of the module, students will be able to:

  1. Articulate expertise in clinical reasoning to plan, and manage day to day, complex and unpredictable episodes of care
  2. Demonstrate independent decision-making skills, problem solving skills and professional judgement to formulate and act on potential diagnoses
  3. Critically appraise and synthesize outcomes of evidence generated through research, evaluation, audit, and practice to justify need for a people centred change in practice
