Module aims

Develop students’ abilities to be effective change managers and leaders in healthcare settings.

Module learning outcomes

By the end of the module, students will be able to:

  1. Identify opportunities to engage with stakeholders to improve services and care quality.
  2. Discriminate between change management strategies.
  3. Apply appropriate change management strategies to improve the quality of care.
  4. Lead, manage and coordinate teams based on an understanding of the human factors that impact on services and quality care.
  5. Critically evaluate different types of evidence that inform an understanding of leadership, change management and service improvement.
