To involve the students in a life-like project involving the investigation of a specified problem in communications and digital signal processing, and/or the design, simulation, construction and testing of a specified piece of equipment.
- Design of the simulation environment or hardware necessary to complete the project.
- Coding and testing of the simulation, or construction and testing of the hardware.
- Completion of the project, analysis of the results and writing of a concise project report.

On completion of this module students are expected to be able to:
- Plan and manage their own work and the work of others
- Interact with other group members to achieve their tasks
- Place their own work in the context of a larger task

Students will receive written feedback on their reports within four weeks of submission. They will receive immediate feedback on their presentation.
