Module summary

“Structure” introduces students to University-level chemical concepts through lecture courses in core chemical principles and mechanisms and then explores the application of this knowledge through an exploration of the composition and structure of macromolecules in biochemistry. A series of practicals in Chemistry and tutorials to support basic biochemical thinking and acquisition of skills in communication (written and oral) through tutorials are also contained here.

Module aims

“Structure” introduces students to University-level chemical concepts through lecture courses in core chemical principles and mechanisms and then explores the application of this knowledge through an exploration of the composition and structure of macromolecules in biochemistry. A series of practicals in Chemistry and tutorials to support basic biochemical thinking and acquisition of skills in communication (written and oral) through tutorials are also contained here.
