What is digital accessibility?
- Digital accessibility is about proactively designing our websites, resources and apps so they can be used by as many people as possible.
- We can make our online services accessible to everyone by following the guidelines set by the 2018 Public Sector Body Accessibility Regulations (PSBAR) and applying universal design for learning principles.
- On this page you can find out more about the regulations, what the university is doing about digital accessibility and how you can play your part.

What we're doing
How we're embedding digital accessibility into our online presence at York.
Accessibility is part of our ethos at the University of York.
Our websites and digital resources have to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and have accessibility statements.
The e-accessibility working group oversees progress on accessible teaching and learning, assistive technology, training and accessibility statements.
