Reputation, Economic Development and Advocacy

The Reputation, Economic Development and Advocacy directorate ensures York's voice is heard, its value understood, and its influence felt far and wide.

We ensure the bold ideas and life-changing work happening here are seen and felt throughout the local region and across the world. Our role is to amplify the University’s influence, building powerful community partnerships that turn regional action into global impact. We unite students, staff, alumni, and partners in a shared purpose: to challenge inequality, tackle social injustice, and deliver real, positive change for public good.

The provision of higher education and research is fundamental to civic society. REDA plays a vital role in advancing York's reputation as a university for public good in order to attract diverse talented students and staff from around the world, regardless of background and beliefs. We articulate the public benefit derived from research and teaching, support income generation and reputation management to deliver our institutional academic mission.
