Heslington Hall student facilities

Heslington Hall is a spectacular Grade II listed building at the heart of the University, and an interdisciplinary hub for teaching, engagement and research in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

It provides space for our community, with teaching rooms, research and study areas, informal spaces for socialising and staff offices.

Heslington Hall is also a venue for a vibrant programme of events and includes a public gallery space curated by our own Art Historians. It is the ideal place to meet other people from across the Faculty, and build connections.

One of the things that makes Heslington Hall special is the building itself. It's a historic space that's been carefully adapted for modern study and research. It really adds to the atmosphere of working here, and makes it feel like a dedicated hub for postgraduate students. It's the perfect getaway to romanticise your studies, bringing disciplines together.
