Harriet Barton awarded the Chris Walsh Memorial Prize 2017

This annual award is given in remembrance of SPS student Chris Walsh who contributed hugely to university life.

We honour his contribution by awarding an annual prize of £100 to celebrate someone within SPS who has also enriched the lives of people around them with their enthusiasm for extracurricular activities at university. Nominations were made from all three years.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the 2017 Chris Walsh Memorial Prize has been awarded to Harriet Barton.

Harriet has been involved in every aspect of University life including participating in College teams and as a member of the SPS Society Committee. She has also made a significant contribution to protecting the environment both within the University, organising One Planet Week, but also participating in environmental projects in the local community.
