The Microsoft Office Suite includes:

Versions

IT Services classroom PCs have Office 2016 installed.

  • Please note, OneDrive is disabled within Office.

Managed Windows 7 staff machines have Office 2013.

Managed Windows 10 staff machines have Office 2016

The latest versions of Microsoft Office for Mac (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Windows are available for unsupported machines.

  • Office is installed on all managed office PCs

Unsupported machines

Home use (staff and students)

The University has subscribed to Office 365 in order to provide staff and students with a free copy of the Microsoft Office suite, which you can use on up to five different devices. Your subscription will remain valid as long as you are a student at the University of York (and connect online every 7-10 days).

You can continue the subscription after you leave the University if you wish - note that you will need to pay a subscription fee to Microsoft at this point.
