The University of York invites you to the closing event for the UK PACT-funded project Enhancing Private Sector Capacity for Climate and Clean Air Action in Nigeria, where project partners will present a new Climate and Clean Air Action Framework designed to help transport businesses accelerate their transition towards low-carbon operations.
Led by the University of York, the project has brought together leading organisations from the UK and Africa to strengthen private-sector capacity for climate action, improve air quality, and increase access to climate finance in Nigeria's transport sector.
Over the past year, the consortium has worked in close partnership with transport operators, government agencies, financial institutions and industry stakeholders to co-develop practical tools that address the real-world challenges businesses face in reducing emissions while remaining commercially competitive.

This strategic briefing introduces the Climate Action Integrated Framework for Transport Businesses in Nigeria, a practical guide that enables organisations to:
- Measure emissions by quantifying greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions across transport operations.
- Develop Climate Action Plans using practical, cost-effective approaches to emissions reduction.
- Access climate finance by preparing investment-ready transport projects aligned with Nigeria's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and international climate funding opportunities.
The webinar will also reflect on the project's achievements and provide participants with practical guidance on applying the Framework within their own organisations.
