York Refugee Bursary 2020/21
The Refugee Bursary is a non-repayable award for students who come to York and have a Refugee immigration status. We will award a further £1,000 in addition to the York Bursary for refugee students whose household income is below £25,000.
The value of the award is:
|Residual household income||Year 1||Subsequent years|
|£0 to £25,000||£3,000||£2,100|
|£25,001 to £35,000*||£2,000||£1,000|
* See York Bursary for details.
You do not need to make a separate application for the Refugee bursary.
We will automatically assess your eligibility based on household income details you have provided to the Student loans company and immigration status you have provided in your application to study at the University.
If you're eligible for the Refugee bursary, we will inform you of this by the end of October 2020. Even if you do not have Refugee status you will be eligible for the York Bursary if you have a residual household income below £35,000.
The cut-off date for receiving 2020/21 awards is 30 June 2021.
Please contact the Student Adviser email@example.com for further advice and support for students who are refugees.
