Options with your subject - Science
You can find lots of starting points for generating career ideas. There are also some websites designed specifically for students studying science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) students who want to explore their options:
- The Science Council's 10 Types of Scientist is a useful resource exploring a variety of jobs that require knowledge and application of science
- The Amazingly Enormous STEM Careers poster
- Opportunities in science podcast
- Step into the NHS quiz can help you to identify health related careers that might suit you or you can browse the profiles
Most of the professional bodies for science and engineering also have useful careers resources, where you can explore options directly linked to your degree and other areas of work where your degree might be useful. These organisations often offer student membership at a discounted rate.
