Student Visa holders

Complying with your visa

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with the conditions of your visa at all times.

Failing to comply with the conditions of your visa is a criminal offence and could result in your visa being withdrawn.

Your responsibilities include ensuring that you do not stay in the UK beyond the expiry date stated on your visa, unless you have made a renewal application. You must also adhere to the work conditions of your visa.

You should also cooperate with the University of York to ensure that it maintains its status as a sponsor of Student Visa holders. This includes meeting the detailed requirements in the terms and conditions for Student Visa holders as shown below

If you have any queries or concerns about your immigration status you should contact the Immigration Advice Service.

The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) have produced a guide to Protecting your Student status.
