Overview

Eligibility

Available to members of staff. To request this service, please contact the IT Support.

The service provides a large amount of storage for files that need to be shared to other people. The files are accessed via a web page which acts in a similar way to a file browser.

You can add access control if you wish to restrict files to just members of the University.

Webfiles works for all modern browsers.

Folder owners will need an SFTP client to upload files.

Data protection

Webfiles is accessible from off campus. Therefore, sensitive data should be password protected or stored elsewhere.

It is your responsibility to restrict content on your pages appropriately. You should inform us if the owner of the Webfiles folder changes or is no longer needed.
