History of Art Taught MA Studentships

The Department of History of Art is pleased to offer, on a competitive basis, up to three fee-waiver scholarships worth £10,590 each for applicants commencing their taught History of Art programme in Autumn 2024.

Eligibility

Open to students from the UK and overseas (including EU) only.

In order to be eligible you must also have an offer for a place on one of the following courses:

For all full-time, taught applicants holding an offer for study on a named programme. You may also apply if you are wishing to study one of the above MA programmes part-time (half the value of the fee waiver will be paid in both years of your study).

How to apply

Application deadline: Sunday 30 June 2024, 11.59pm BST

Please use the Google form to make your application for this award. You will be required to write a personal statement as part of this process. This should consist of 250 words explaining your main academic and work related achievements and career aspirations and 250 words explaining your proposal for your MA dissertation including key questions and demonstrate how the topic has potential for development. You must have applied for and been offered a place for an MA course prior to submitting your funding application.

How we allocate

Applications for MA scholarships will be assessed on evidence of academic merit and on your personal statement.

Preference will be given to applicants who meet all the course requirements.

Terms and conditions

These studentships can be held alongside other University of York awards (eg our partnership studentships) but the total sum awarded cannot exceed the full-time tuition fee for the award holder. In this event, the total sum awarded will be capped.

Applicants who are liable to pay fees at the international rate will be required to pay all outstanding fees due once any awards have been discounted.
