Operations team

In recent years, the Staff Race Equality initiatives have captured the interests and imaginations of members of the BAME community and associates/allies. To enable individuals within our community to actively contribute to the broader SREF agenda, the SREF Operations team was created in September 2022. This group will report into the Steering Group. As this is not a formal committee we will capture summarised discussions, decisions and actions. 

Remit

  • To provide a channel for communication to and within the SREF on operational matters relating to SREF events and actions.
  • To organise key events and meetings for SREF 
  • To support the Steering Group when needed 
  • To make recommendations for action to the Steering Group

Membership

The group will review its membership on a regular basis and will recommend changes to the Steering group if appropriate. At least once a year, the group should review its own performance and terms of reference to ensure it is operating at maximum effectiveness and recommend any changes it considers necessary to the Steering Group for approval. Role holders who do not attend three consecutive meetings without a good reason will be asked to stand down from the role(s).
