Course content

Your course will involve talks by some of York’s leading academics, followed by further exploration of the subject through analysis, debate and discussion. These sessions will give you the opportunity to engage with and develop your understanding of the topic more deeply.

Our tutors will help you to develop a project based on the course content. At the end of the project you will produce a poster presentation.

You will take trips to interesting places that relate to the theme of your summer school. For example you might visit museums and galleries, or spend time at an industry or community-based organisation.

Summer schools typically last for two weeks.
