Easter break arrangements

There’s lots going on over Easter. Find out what’s happening and see the support still available to you, wherever you are.

Academic Skills Community

Continue developing your academic and communication skills over Easter with our series of online workshops. Get help with planning and writing assignments, improve your Academic English, and embark on a journey of cultural discovery. Check out skills development opportunities over Easter.

The Library has extended its opening times - it’s now open from 8am until 12 midnight, seven days a week.

Starting Monday 29 March, staff and students will be able to access the Rare Books collections and the Archives, from Monday to Wednesday.

Events and activities

Check the student events page for things to get involved in over Easter (wherever you are), such as online zumba, dance fit, and the Halifax photography competition. You’ll also find the YUSU and GSA events taking place each week.

From Friday 19 March to Monday 19 April, commercial services on campus will operate at reduced opening hours. Nisa Kimberlow and Market Square stores are open or you can order from the online Nisa store for free delivery (next day delivery available for orders placed before noon).

Library Cafe, Hub Cafe and Cookies are open over Easter for takeaways and our Deliveroo service is open Monday to Friday from 12pm to 6pm. Order for delivery or collection from Alcuin Bistro.

Help and support

Remember the Student Hub and Open Door are still available to you over the break. You can contact the Student Hub about anything you  need help with, such as finance issues and money worries, private accommodation issues, health concerns, immigration advice, academic progress issues, and more. Easter Activity Boxes

Over 2500 students staying in York over the break applied for and will receive a free Easter Activity Box for them or their household! More than 2000 will be delivered off campus and 500 on campus. As well as activities, the box also includes chocolate treats. Boxes are one per household.

The deadline to claim was Friday 19 March.
