Mental Health Awareness Week 2019

Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 takes place Monday 13 to Sunday 19 May 2019. The theme for 2019 is Body Image – how we think and feel about our bodies.

Activities on campus

YUSU Keep Your Cool Week
Head to the WellFair where Greg's Place will be filled with snacks, advice and fun activities to support your wellbeing. There's also an Introduction to Mindfulness session, water bottle giveaways, and hot drinks and snacks til midnight in the Kitchen@Alcuin Retreats.

Celebrating Diverse Body Images: Photo Shoot
Tuesday 14 May
Celebrate our diverse bodies and capture the diversity in a creative photo shoot, hosted by the GSA.

GSA attends World Meditation Day
Wednesday 15 May
Drop-in guided meditation or a chance to sit in silence. Meditation teachers can advise about different types of meditation.

Action for Happiness - Exploring What Matters course
Thursday 16 May
Join this eight week programme to meet with like-minded people to explore what really matters in life and find new ways of looking at things. Learn from experts through videos, mindfulness exercises and a handbook full of resources to help you break big ideas into manageable chunks. The programme started on Thursday 9 May but you can still join it in this second week.
