Research can create solutions to real-world problems, change people's minds and open up new possibilities - it can make an impact. By adopting an “impact literate mindset” and engaging with different groups responsibly, you can make your work more relevant to society and increase your appeal to funders.
This session will explore: what research impact is (and isn’t); why it matters; how knowledge exchange drives impact; and tips for strategically approaching and planning your impact journey.
Learning objectives:
- Define and differentiate impact and knowledge exchange
- Consider how impact relates to your research
- Learn practical strategies to plan engagement and generate impact
