Research governance refers to:
- the structures in place for decision-making and accountability in relation to the direction and management of research at the University; and
- the framework of policies, procedures and codes of practice which apply to research.
The University’s research activity is overseen by the University Research Committee, which advises the Senate and the Senior Management Group on strategy, sets internal policy, and monitors the research performance of the institution.
