The University has a range of Research Centres, Units and Groups (referred to collectively as Research Entities) that support research. The policies governing the setting up of a research entity, as well as the management and communications of research entities are set out here.
The process for setting up Research Entities has now been formalised. Please find below the Entities Guidance for Departments document and the descriptor for the different types of centre.
Before applying please read the Entities guidance for Departments and for further advice on which type of entity to apply for, you should contact the relevant Associate Dean for Research. The Associate Dean is involved in the approvals process.
