Social and Cultural Processes

Social and Cultural Processes spans early infancy to old age and encompasses cross-cultural and cross-species research.

We conduct research into social perception, social interaction, and intergroup processes. We seek to understand how social behaviour develops across the lifespan and varies with cultural context.

We use a range of converging approaches to explore these topics including semi-naturalistic observation, surveys, behavioural experiments and neuroimaging.

We aim to use the understanding we generate to promote a fairer society and enhance education.
