These scholarships and studentships are available to postgraduate researchers in the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology.

Your chosen course, level of study and other statuses may all affect your eligibility for the opportunities listed here.

Centres for doctoral training (CDTs)

Some of the funding options below are part of CDTs. These offer unique opportunities for postgraduate researchers, including specialised research training and professional development skills.

Research projects

Our academics are working on a wide range of projects suitable for research students to join. Some of these projects are funded.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology Travel Awards

The IET provides funding for members to attend conferences or take part in research visits within the UK or overseas.

China Scholarships Council Scholarship

We're pleased to offer up to ten joint-funded PhD scholarships in collaboration with the China Scholarships Council.

Commonwealth Scholarship
