York Print Plus is the printing, copying and scanning service for staff, and is available in most departments across the University.

Overview

Eligibility

All University staff and students can use York Print Plus to print, copy and scan.

Some departments may restrict access to their devices.

Visitors can photocopy in the Library.

Using York Print Plus

How you print will change when your department moves to new devices during our Easter 2018 rolling updates:

- If you're printing to the new devices after your department has been updated, use PrintCloud (on print.york.ac.uk)

- If you're still printing to the old devices, use PrintCloud (on ypp.york.ac.uk)

You can then log in, by tapping your University Card, or typing your username and password, and collect it from any York Print Plus device.

Managed Windows and Linux PCs have the new queue set up already. You will need to add the print queue on unmanaged computers: see the guides.

ePrint enables you to email or upload documents that you wish to print.
 
This gives you an easy way to print from tablets or smartphones to the University York Print Plus devices.

Printer settings

When you print, your work will automatically print in black and white and duplex. You'll need to change your settings to select single sided or colour.

We will be updating York Print Plus during the Easter 2018 vacation. We've provided guides below for the "Old" and "New" systems; if you're not sure which system is in use within your department, please check the rollout programme, ask your local super user (contact details are shown on printers) or contact us for advice.
