Mail

Small post is delivered to the mailbox at your house/block. 

Large parcels are delivered to Halifax Reception and you'll get an email when they're ready to collect. Remember to bring your student ID.

Communal areas

Halifax has two common rooms -  St Lawrence and JJ’s - that college members can use to hang out in, socialise and relax. There’s also an IT suite and College Classroom for study in the Halifax College Reception Building.

What's near?

  • Food and drink: Your nearest places for a drink or bite to eat are D Bar and the Roger Kirk Centre, approximately a 12 minute walk away.
  • The York Sport Centre is just a 10 minute walk away and is home to a gym and courts for racquet sports.
  • Market square and the Library are a 14 minutes walk away and are home to a NISA grocery store and study resources.
  • A cashpoint can be found outside the Halifax Reception Building
