Accommodation at York is connected to our eleven college communities, located on our compact parkland campus.

With teaching, study and social facilities nearby, you'll have everything you need to make the most of university life.

2026/27 applications

Undergraduate and postgraduate accommodation applications for the 2026/27 academic year will open in spring 2026. We'll update our webpages with more details, including the exact opening dates, as soon as they are confirmed.

2025/26 applications

Undergraduates

Accommodation owned, managed or approved by the University is now fully booked for 2025/26 undergraduate entry.

If you still need to arrange accommodation, we recommend exploring options in the private sector. Wherever you live, you'll still become part of one of our eleven college communities, and our Accommodation Team is here to offer advice and support.

Postgraduates

Accommodation applications for 2025/26 postgraduate entry are still open. Visit our postgraduate accommodation web page to learn more and apply.

Couples

Only one person in a couple needs to be a full-time registered student at York to be eligible to apply.

Families

We have properties on and off campus to house families.

Care leavers and estranged students

We offer accommodation support to students who are care leavers or estranged.
