Have you been out of education for some time? Are you wondering whether university is for you?

If you're over 21 you're classed as a mature learner. This course explores the life and work experience mature learners bring to the learning environment.

You'll consider the perceived barriers that mature learners can face and potential solutions to those barriers. You'll also explore the skills you'll need to develop to study at university-level, the support systems available, and guidance on how to apply to a course.

Assessments (and subsequent certificates) are optional and carry a fee, with the exception of people with a York username for whom they are free.
