Our Clearing accommodation

You're guaranteed an offer of a single-occupancy room in accommodation owned, managed or approved by the University if you apply for accommodation and hold a Clearing offer for the full 2026/27 academic year and meet all of the following criteria:

• You're a new first-year undergraduate (UK or International) offered a place at York through Clearing.
• You have referred yourself to York via your UCAS Hub and completed your application record, including all relevant qualifications, by the deadline set by your academic department or by 5pm BST on Thursday 20 August 2026, whichever is earlier.
• You hold an Unconditional offer (UF) and submit your accommodation application by 12 noon on Monday 24 August 2026.

If you're unable to apply by these dates, you can still submit your application and we will look to support you in securing accommodation. 

It can take up to 48 hours for our online accommodation system to update after you receive your You@York login details. We advise you to apply for accommodation as soon as you can.
