What do you think?

It’s time to tell us what you think we do well and any areas where you think we can do better. The NSS is your opportunity to give fair and honest feedback on your experience at the University of York.

We use the NSS results to understand what we’re getting right and to highlight areas for further improvements so that students following in your footsteps can benefit from your feedback. We especially encourage you to expand your feedback using the free text comments in the survey - these are read by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching, Learning and Students and staff within departments to make quality enhancements to the student experience.

Additionally, results of the NSS are published annually on the Discover Uni website and help prospective students make an informed decision over their choice of university.

Charity donation

As an added incentive, the University will donate £1 for every student who completes the NSS in 2023 to IDAS, YUSU’s charity partner for this year.

Get involved

The NSS 2023 runs from Monday 6 February until Sunday 30 April 2023. The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete. It is run by Ipsos Mori who will contact you with a unique ID and a link to the survey. They will send an initial email and reminder emails until you complete the survey or opt out.

Please take the time to give your feedback; it really does make a difference.
