Join us from Monday 10 June to Friday 14 June for Digital Creativity Week; a programme designed to explore archival material and data relating to Yorkshire, resulting in the creation of a digital artefact or installation.

The week will feature hands-on sessions with archival material and a range of software and tools. You’ll have a chance to interact with the Yorkshire Historical Dictionary and archive material relating to Yorkshire, getting creative with images, audio, maps, and data. Participants will work with IT professionals, archivists, and librarians to create digital artefacts and installations and to tell stories inspired by the material.

Throughout the week, you’ll develop skills in image editing, audio editing, video editing, visualisation and coding, app creation and augmented reality. Work on your own piece of the project and research the evidence behind your story, then build on this to develop a collective piece, using teamwork and creative exploration through problem solving.

On completion, you will present your work from the week and your digital artefacts or installations will form part of an exhibition in the University Library on Wednesday 19 June.

The deadline for applications is Friday 12 April.
