Roses 2017: pay library fines to support Mind

Posted on 27 April 2017

The Library will be donating all fines collected during the Roses weekend to York and Lancashire Mind. Pay yours now to support mental health.

A pile of pound coins and a stack of books.

In recognition of the positive link between exercise and mental health, Roses 2017 is raising money for the mental health charities York Mind and Lancashire Mind.

Whilst you are encouraged to donate directly to the Just Giving campaign, you can also give and pay your library fines at the same time. Any fines paid to the University Library over Roses weekend, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 April, will be donated  to these charities.

You can pay fines in person at the Library and IT Help Desk in the University Library, or at the Help Desk in King's Manor Library; over the phone; or online - you can even post a cheque to us! Find out more about how to pay.

Mental health is important for everyone, and during your time at university it's important to look after yourself. If you're struggling this term with exam stress, take a look at our top tips for looking after yourself as you study and our Health and wellbeing web pages.
