What are my professional development needs? What learning and development opportunities are available to me?
Aspiring research fellows are invited to think carefully about their specific professional development needs and explore how they will address them over the course of the fellowship timeline.
This event is part of York’s Fellowship Launchpad: EXPLORE series, a series of nine short online sessions (45 minutes) introducing aspiring research fellows to key fellowship topics. The series is sequential helping you to build a strong foundational knowledge from which to start your fellowship application. Other topics include ‘Research Funding (and why it matters to you!)’, Choosing the Right Scheme for your Research’, and ‘Developing a Fellowship Application: Step by Step’.
In this session you will
- Learn about the role of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and Vitae Researcher Development framework in identifying professional development needs.
- Consider approaches to addressing your professional development needs within your fellowship proposal.
