This session is suitable for Postgraduate Researchers who are in the final year of their PhD.
This session is dedicated to the final stages of your PhD journey, guiding you through the essential requirements of your thesis, including formats and contents.
It covers strategic planning for completion, necessary paperwork such as the ‘Notification of Intention to Submit,’ and the process of selecting examiners. You will gain valuable insights to ensure you complete your thesis on time and meet all necessary requirements.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- prioritise essential activity with the aim of completion
- know the required UoY formats of the thesis
- understand how to be involved in the process of selecting examiners
- know the processes and procedures for the successful completion of a PhD at the University of York
Prerequisites
Students must have successfully upgraded to be eligible for this course. We recommend you are close to submitting, approximately 6 months from submission date.
