Archiving your Research Data

This online session, delivered by the Open Research team, will be of interest to postgraduate researchers (PGRs) and all staff involved in research.
Archiving research data is a necessary precursor to data sharing. Archiving ensures that data are findable, accessible and reusable (FAIR) well into the future, and shows your funder that you are complying with their data policy.
This introductory session will cover this important aspect of research data management (RDM), encouraging researchers to consider and plan for the archiving of their research data for long-term access and reuse.

-Understand the principles of archiving research data, to enable decisions on what to archive, data access and where to deposit data for reuse.
- Appreciate the benefits and the requirements that exist for archiving and sharing (of value) research data.
- Know where to find support and guidance.
